*Chinese Pepper Steak with Onions*

*Ingredients:
°1 lb chuck steak cut into medium slices
°1 onion cut into strips
°½ green bell pepper cut to strips
°½ red bell pepper cut to strips
°1 level teaspoon of black pepper
°Salt to taste
°2 cups boiling water
°3 tablespoons oil
+For the sauce
°3 tablespoons of soy sauce
°1 tablespoon cornstarch
°1 tablespoon of sugar
°½ cup lukewarm water
°½ teaspoon onion powder
°½ teaspoon garlic powder
°¼ teaspoon powdered ginger
*Instructions
In a frying pan, add three tablespoons of oil and fry the chuck in two batches until golden on both sides.
Remove and set aside. Do not overcrowd the pan when browning.
In the same oil, sauté the onion until translucent. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, brown the peppers for a few seconds and set aside.
Return the fried chuck to the pan, season the chuck with salt and black pepper. Add two cups of boiling water and cook over medium heat for 45 minutes or until the meat is tender. Adding water if the meat is still tough also continue cooking.
When the meat is cooked, add the onion and pepper.
Combine sauce ingredients and pour over steak, stirring until sauce thickens.
