Gourmet Cheesy Mushroom and Garlic Toasts recipe
Ingredients:
6 slices of crusty bread (such as sourdough or baguette)
2 tbsp butter (or olive oil)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ cups mushrooms, sliced (button, cremini, or a mix)
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
½ tsp dried thyme (or fresh thyme leaves)
1 cup shredded cheese (Gruyère, mozzarella, or a mix)
1 tbsp parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Sauté Mushrooms:
In a pan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add mushrooms, salt, pepper, and thyme.
Cook for about 5-7 minutes until mushrooms are golden and tender. Set aside.
Prepare Bread:
Lightly toast the bread slices in the oven for 5 minutes until slightly crisp.
Assemble Toasts:
Spread sautéed mushrooms evenly over each slice.
Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese on top.
Bake Until Melty:
Place the toasts on a baking tray and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish & Serve:
Sprinkle fresh parsley on top and serve warm.
