Ingredients:
8 ounces rotini pasta
1 pound lean ground beef
1 small onion, diced
1 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
4 ounces sliced pepperoni sausage
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
1️⃣ Oven Preparation: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures your oven is ready for baking once the pasta bake is assembled.
2️⃣ Pasta Cooking: Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a rolling boil. Add the rotini pasta and cook it for 8 to 10 minutes, or until it reaches an al dente texture. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.
3️⃣ Meat Sautéing: While the pasta cooks, heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and diced onion, cooking until the beef is thoroughly browned. Make sure to drain any excess fat from the skillet once the beef is cooked.
4️⃣ Combining Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef and onion mixture with the spaghetti sauce and sliced pepperoni. Add the cooked and drained pasta to this mixture and stir until everything is evenly coated with the sauce.
5️⃣ Baking Preparation: Transfer the pasta mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the pasta.
6️⃣ Baking: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes. The dish is ready when the cheese on top has melted and turned a golden brown color.
